Andrew Ooi is a visual artist who enjoys applying traditional materials and techniques, unconventionally to yield new possibilities in art forms and appreciation. His primary medium is paper, which he cuts into numerous, small sheets, he individually, creases, paints, folds and pieces by hand into sculptures and reliefs. Typically, his works inquire about some aspect of anthropology, history, identity and art history; exhibited in galleries and published in various media.
