About

I have always worked in series—streams of thoughts and desires, represented by images. I see the images as signs of the material world, intimations of the nonmaterial. At first my series were narrative. Now I am thinking about nature. For a long time, I have been working on the Natural History paintings. It is a slow process. The paintings are all based on photographs of trees that I have taken. In March 2023, I worked in Napoli, projecting images of paintings from the Natural History series.
