Visual artist and architect, works with sculpture and installation. Paulo seeks to materialize personal dream records, sometimes in a literal way, sometimes dissecting dream images and its origins. The work converge to recurring themes: family, religion, sexuality and violence experienced by the artist since his childhood. Assis’s practice is presented in architectural, rigorous and often narrative spatial dynamics, creating suspension spaces, stimulating the non-passivity of the spectator.
