Nubuke Foundation presents a group exhibition; ‘Weight of The Ordinary’.

Featuring young artists Blanche Boni-Mississo(@bonimississoafi), Josiah Tsibu Manu(@josiahmanu1), King David Osabutey (@kakalickerr_____ ), Priscilla Agbeti(@priscilla_agbeti) & Sena Burgundy Appau(@senaburgundy).

Far from ordinary, this group of artists bring fresh perspectives, imaginative ideas, and a light-hearted spirit to work across a range of mediums, including painting, mixed media, sculpture, and memorabilia.

Navigating through societal pressures, norms and expectations, the works move between invitation and challenge without becoming judgmental or critical. With self-assuredness they defy inhibition and seductively open up unlimited exploration within the spiritual, the visible and the imagined worlds.

The artists’ use of vivid colours, textures, photography, textiles is an ever-present reminder of the nuanced existence and layers of our lives; a welcome and thought-provoking discourse.

Join us at Nubuke Foundation on Saturday, 20 June for the opening at 12:00pm and for a conversation amongst the artists at 2:00pm.
