About

Abraham Tettey is an artist-curator working between Germany and Ghana. His practice is shaped by an engagement with the conditions through which art, knowledge and culture are produced, circulated and made meaningful.

His work investigates the structures of power that shape epistemic and cultural production: the institutions that authorise knowledge, the infrastructures that enable certain practices to emerge, and the systems through which histories, ideas and artistic practices acquire visibility and value. He is particularly interested in the exhibition as a space where these structures can be encountered, questioned and reconfigured.

Through research, collaboration and exhibition-making, Tettey develops curatorial propositions that investigate the relationship between art, knowledge and power, and how contemporary cultural production might create spaces for other ways of knowing, remembering and imagining.
