About

ASOPLAYA is a long-standing association of artisanal fishers from the corregimiento of La Playa, whose lives and livelihoods are closely tied to the Ciénaga de Mallorquín. Its members bring together fishing practices, ecological knowledge, community organization, and forms of care for a wetland transformed by urban, hydraulic, and environmental pressures.
