About

Nomasmetaforas is a collective formed by philosopher Clara Melniczuk and visual artist Julián Dupont. Their work operates at the intersection of contemporary art, communal pedagogies, and more-than-human philosophy, asking how Western anthropocentrism might be dismantled in favor of plural forms of habitability. Their practice develops spaces of listening, dreaming, and reflection as relational technologies. In sustained dialogue with Indigenous knowledge in Cauca, Colombia, they collaborate with the Universidad Autónoma Indígena Intercultural (UAIIN-CRIC) and work with questions of territory, plant intelligence, decolonial unlearning, and collective dreaming. Their projects have been presented internationally through LA ESCUELA___, MoMA PS1, Pinacoteca de São Paulo, MALBA, the Louvre, Cité Internationale des Arts, and other institutions. They were part of the educational team of the 47th Salón Nacional de Artistas in Colombia and received the 2026 COAL Art and Ecology Prize, Nuits des Forêts Special Mention.
