About

La Casa de Meira is an arts and experimentation centre in the Colombian Caribbean based in Barranquilla, open to the exchange of knowledge and horizontal dialogue between artists from the local community and residents of the house. La Casa de Meira generates encounters between disciplines, cultures and generations through a programme that includes exhibitions, film clubs, workshops, literary, musical and sound encounters, performances, gastronomic experiences, fashion and costume presentations, and publications.

Among its main exhibitions are: Si no puedo bailar, no quiero ser parte de tu revolución (If I can’t dance, I don’t want to be part of your revolution), with Romany Dear and Grace Tortuga; Capturas (Captures) with Breidy Manes; El indiscreto Encanto (The Indiscreet Charm) by Jessica Mitrani; Parcialmente Nublado (Partly Cloudy), a collective of Caribbean artists; Río Lengua (River Tongue) by María Leguízamo, and Cosecha Post Mortem (Post Mortem Harvest) by Bryan Duarte.
